If you can find them, the OVA episodes are great; two of them have some important backstory on our boy Levi :)
2019-01-04 13:53:22 +0000 UTCHere is a crucial thing about this episode and Levi's character. If you watch closely Levi looks at a body and it has the hand bitten mark on it. He takes the patch from that soldier which is not Ivan's it is actually Petra's. Levi was going to keep it for himself and instead gives it to the other soldier claiming it was Ivan's. That is why they show Petra's body being pushed out because now Levi has nothing when it comes to her and instead shows that he would rather give the patch to someone else and make them feel like they have something to remember him.
