I really enjoyed that. Haven't watched it since original broadast (As with most ofthese episodes now) and I personally thought they handled Rory's death really well without going overboard. I too liked Nasreen but I thought her ending was dreadful - I just didn't buy her decision one little bit. Meera Syal who played her, like Catherine Tate, is more known for being a comedian/comedy actress and I really thought she would have made a great companion.

We’ve seen instances of both plus numerous other examples that explicitly show he doesn’t have that level of control
2019-01-24 22:22:38 +0000 UTCFunnily enough, that 1 reptile trying to tongue the Doctor, is most probably doing something pretty much pointless, as Time Lords have 100% control over their bodies, and can literally fabricate almost any antidote and any other chemical mix inside their own bodies on command (to maximize survivability on any of the expeditions they do during their periodic Universal charting, where they basically recheck what has changed across the entire universe etc.

Idk if they were worried Rory's death alone wouldn't have impact after Amy's Choice or people wouldn't buy it, but first they kill him then they erase him from time then the TARDIS hits turbulance right at the worst possible moment so Amy can't even hold onto her memory of him

Also, I agree that the music this season is killer, Murray Gold does his greatest work in Doctor Who starting on season five in my opinion. The song you keep hearing and "conducting" to is called "I'm the Doctor" and for me it is the most iconic and hard driving piece he does. I concider it my Doctor Who theme and it always gets me excited.

2019-01-23 20:49:26 +0000 UTCThe reason they didnt dwell on rorys death is because amy couldnt remember him as he had been erased from existence. Amy couldnt be emotional as she never knew him, so only the doctor remembers.
