In my opinion Heidi's idea of the vampires getting the upper hand is part of her delusional craziness. You have to give her props for playing every single person that might have taken her down, perfectly. From the Praedor who tried to take her down to the vampires who rejected her to Alec who was the tool to take out the vampires without getting her hands dirty. She had an extremely quick and calculating mind and she would have escaped from the Clave eventually and wreaked havoc in New York again as she would have had a beef with the Shadowhunters as well. Simon is right but Maia knew that this was the only way to prevent a world of pain later.

2019-06-08 12:39:49 +0000 UTCI had a few issues with the story in this one First of all, Luke takes the blame in order for the secret of the shadow world not to come out, right. To protect mundanes. But like, how will a cop survive prison, he’ll get attacked no doubt and most probably turn into a wolf, with nowhere to hide. And even if he gets himself into solitary confidement somehow that doesn’t mean he wont turn at some point as it is both psycholgicaly and emotionally challenging Prison is the last place he needs to be in order to meet his objective And second, I’m not really feeling the Heidi thing. Ok she’s dead now so it doesn’t really matter, but I didn’t buy the whole ”it’s time for us to rule” They are only one faction of the entire population of vampires worldwide. What does the rest of the vampires have to say, does New York somehow rule all? Because in that case they should have worked that into the story somehow , that NY vampires are considered affluent or have particular authority. That plan of Heidis simply doesn’t hold up. Even if she took over NY and defeited the Shadowhunters there, the rest of the worlds Shadowhunters would come to their aid and kill all vampires. The story is different in the book, it comes in earlier and these flaws are not as evident.

Love your empathie for Clary - thrown into the shadow world 3 and a half month ago, dealing with the whole sibling situation with Jace back in season 1, her mother died 3 months ago, Jace died in her arms like 3 weeks ago, she killed her biological father Valentine at the same time and lost her brother Jonathan, after coming back from the dead Jace was posessed by Lilith, she faced a death sentence by the clave and killed Valentine again, always has to deal with the prejudices about her being Valentines daughter, Lilith resurrected Jonathan using Clary`s life force, he kidnapped her and held her hostage, let alone kissed her twice now - glamoured himself as Sebastian and Jace, now the rune is taking over her and the only father she ever had (and really needs, besides protective, caring Jace by her side) is abandoning her. Did I miss anything? Let the girl breathe! Did you watch the promo and sneak peeks for the next episode? Would love to see your reaction and following predictions on these. <3
