Why they never gave him his own 8th Doctor spin off or something on TV I wll never know. The Night of the Doctor in just under 8 minutes or so is pure gold so just imagine what he could do with 60!

Was he an incarnation from before the Doctor became the Doctor, was he the Valeyard,...? And of course there's 8's regeneration. There's nothing close about it, skipping this would be like skipping a series finale.

From what I understand,this was originally going to be at the start of DOTD,but they had to release it early (on McGann's birthday,in fact) because they were worried that the surprise had been leaked. The Sisterhood of Karn are from a 4th Doctor story.
