UNEDITED EXCLUSIVE: Doctor Who Season 8 Episode 6 REACTION!

I really enjoyed this much more than I remember doing. To be honest... I didn't enjoy Danny Pink when I previously watched it, but I had a boyfriend called Danny who was a teacher (Not PE, Not Maths, but Design and Tech!) in London who looks exactly like Samuel Anderson... which is tooo weird, so now I have the biggest crush on Danny Pink, which I didn't before... all a true story. :D

I liked this episode a lot. And here's some info on 12's outfit. Capaldi wanted simple, easy to cosplay. The costume designer liked the idea. He wanted the Doctor to look somewhat like a schoolmaster, as if he wanted to put people off, keep them from getting too close. The idea being that this Doctor was uncertain of himself (am I a good man?). As he gets more comfortable with this incarnation, his outfit changes somewhat (his hair also gets longer)!

Failwhale: I have thoughts on Clara. Let me guess: she’s slowly becoming unlikable once they introduced the control freak parts to her personality? That’s where I started souring on her.

Why do you assume Danny would think she was crazy? He didn’t fly off the handle when she revealed it in this episode, why would he if it was done earlier? In fact, his first assumption is she’s an alien and the doctor is her Dad. And his insight about the doctor is accurate to a degree, it’s just he’s working off incomplete information... but he’s not wrong. At this point Earth has seen several aliens and invasions, pretty sure humanity wouldn’t bat an eye at the idea of Clara running off with one every few days.

This episode was good on paper, the Blitzer was obviously not meant to be the focus as you say, which is fine but annoys me how apparently deadly it is and will destroy the world, bit overboard there. The main focus is of course on Clara's worlds crashing together with the Doctor and Danny meeting and to be honest, while having some great/interesting moments I feel it is way too rushed and conflict is too forced. For example this incarnations hatred at soldiers is turnt up to 12 just so he can dislike Danny...I mean other Doctors, like 10, disliked military types/guns and would clash at times, but this is on an absurd level to the point he can't retain the fact Danny is a Maths teacher because soldiers are apparently to dumb. As for Danny...well, he is also rather...mental. Like, he is hurt that Clara lied to him, but doesn't understand why Clara did so, even if she has seen amazing wonders...like dude, you two haven't really been dating long...you are still in the early days of a relationship. Why the hell would you think she'd tell you something like that? It's an intensely private and personal part of her life and she can't just tell everyone. And if she did, wtf would you think of her just telling you that she travels in time and space saving planets with a face changing alien, you'd want her locked up in an asylum. As for 'why' she does it....dude, anywhere in time and space. Not to mention his ridiculous presumptions and 'insights' into who the Doctor 'is'. Honestly this is the point where I started to dislike him. Then there is the reveal from Clara that she loves him...which eh, again I think feels hella rushed. We don't know how long they have been dating exactly, but it can't be more than a month or two.

Not the best episode but I got a special place for it as I met Capaldi at the school when they were filming it.

It's an ok episode (quite a witty one,as well),which serves a function - but doesn't do much as far as storytelling goes.
