What'd you think of this one? Also will have part 2 & 3, 8x10, and The Expanse and new community up later today (sleep)

Comments

7th was probably my favorite, alongside 8th, simply because I like the novels more than the normie-lized TV series, where the writers can't keep their own story arcs intact, and don't use older enemies more than once, for some retarded reason. Also the novels aren't rated Family, but for more HC fans who are adults by this point (or at least teens), and thus feature more realistic content from the people of the universe (and beyond?)

Skebaba

Was actually amusing to watch, definitely should've gone for Earthshock instead though.

Mr K

This was the season before the last Season

I have no name

That laugh at the start tho, lol

Dani C

ooooh Curse of Fenric. Havent watched that in ages.

Dani C

Me too!

Having just made my comment about why would you introduce someone to this doctor using Silver Nemesis, I realised that I haven't watched it for about 20 years - and actually found the first episode really fun :D

Mark Ward

Incidentally you have actually seen this Doctor before in the TV Movie - he regenerated in the first 5 minutes to the 8th Doctor.

Mark Ward

What the hell... why would anyone choose Silver Nemesis as their Seventh Doctor introduction... this makes me sad as I love 7, but literally ANYTHING from Season 26 would have been better .- if a little confusing,

Mark Ward

This the 7th Doctor, in the 80's. This is the last series of Doctor Who before the '96 movie. So this is at the end of the series, basically. It didn't come back till 2005 of course.

Brent Justice

This is the last appearance of The Cybermen until Modern Doctor Who

Should have picked Remembrance of The Daleks or even The Curse Of Fenric

I have no name

honestly, even if silver nemesis is a bit naff, i'm glad he gets to be familliarised with my favourite incaranation of the cybermen

Silver Nemesis..?? Oh well. It's usually placed near the bottom of 'favourite story' lists - but I'm sure it has its fans. By this stage in its history, the series had become a sort of knowing parody of itself - sometimes to admittedly great effect:but at others, the comedy just fell flat (as in this story). You've encountered the 7th Doctor before - he was the Doctor who got shot in the TV Movie, and died on the operating table. The site of the crashed meteor is now the location of London's huge "02 Arena" (it was all waste ground back in the late 80s). The woman with the dogs was supposed to be Her Majesty The Queen - this is what I meant by the humour falling flat :D. But,yeah - 7 is not unlike 11: outwardly a clownish madman with a box;but actually scheming and powerful (and with an affection for Fez', according to this story!)

Ian Smith

A very odd choice for your first seventh doctor story. Why not Remembrance of the Daleks instead?

RAJ

There are actually elements I like. Sylvester was good in the role, it's just very brashly 80's, especially in its music. Hated the question mark motif right from the start, Moffat was just as bad with his overuse of "Doctor Who?"

Mr K

I remember not being surprised at all at the time when the show got cancelled and so then extremely dubious when it was brought back. Never happier to be proved the contrary.

Daryl

Never been a fan of the Seventh Doctor or Ace, aside from the Big Finish audios and could understand at the time why the show was cancelled. This, for me, was one of the worst of his run.
