Seems to start out with a gimmicky approach as way of doing a low budget episode but then quickly squashes that notion with some great visual effects supported by brilliant character interplay and interactions. Unfolding another dimension to the Doctor companion relationship. Love that line "Goodness had nothing to do with it"

2019-08-02 05:58:48 +0000 UTCLoved this episode. Points introducing an imaginative new concept to Doctor Who and having fun with it. 2D creatures and the effect they would have on 3D beings. I know they are boneless but I call them Flatliners. I hope they return in the future. Rigsy was Clara's companion as she played the role of the Doctor. Watching this episode again I just realized that the Tardis shrunken down to a cube looks like a mini Pandorica.

2019-08-02 00:11:18 +0000 UTCThis episode is generally agreed on - to the extent that Doctor Who fans ever generally agree on anything - as the best episode of series 8. It's quite good, although I think the direction loses its sense of place right at the end - no matter how many times I watch it, I've still got no idea where Clara and Co. are relative to the Boneless during that final sequence.
