2019-08-08 17:01:15 +0000 UTCdefinitely one of my favourite episodes! i personally think both sides were justified. beth had a reason to avoid joe since he acted like a stalker and made her feel uneasy, but joe also had a right to explain himself because beth didn't even give him an opportunity to do so. and the technology is what i love the most about black mirror - both the "dating" service and the amazon echo or google home type "cookies" seem close enough to what we already have, but it feels just a little off... to the point where you start to think how our actual real life technology will surely reach that black mirror point in a few years. and sometimes they make it a little more noticeable, like the block, but even that kind of on the nose crazy tech is incredibly entertaining and scary, and i absolutely love it. also, to answer your question: there are no happy endings in black mirror (okay maybe there are a few episodes i can count on one hand, but even those endings are debatable, depending from which angle you're looking at them)
