It's not just that a few people on here don't like Silver Nemesis - on the Doctor Who Dynamic Rankings it's rated the 12th worst classic story of all-time out of 169... why anyone would think it was a good choice to share with you is completely beyond me.

Capaldi still nails it every scene in this episode, and there are some very pretty visuals, but in the end you're right. It can't save this one from being a dud.

I still hate this episode. Most of the time, an unengaging story will be carried by the performances, or a few key scenes - from time to time an episode is so bad even a few good scenes and some great acting can't rescue it. This is one of those.

Fun fact: at one point you can see a bus and on it is an advertisement for Doctor Who, series 8. Great Easter Egg!

I think we are all in need of a memory worm. It's not you Failwhale34 we see it too. Capaldi was born to play the Doctor. You have yet to see Capaldi at his best. There are some pivital moments coming. You must see Genesis of The Daleks and Terror of The Autons and Invasion. Trust me you won't regret it.

People tend to think Love and Monsters or Fear Her is the worst episode. To me it's In the Forest of the Shite.

The episode falls flat for me, however... One thing that I liked was the running dialectic between Clara and Danny: her love of the marvelous versus his love for the everyday: the Doctor versus an ordinary existence. Clara’s inability to juggle both lifestyles has become so apparent that she should have reached a decision by the end of the episode: go or stay. It would have given the episode some structure. I liked the fantastical appearance of the forest and the Doctor’s references to fairy tales – underscored by the little girl in a red jacket running from the big bad wolf. As for the lost sister, I don’t have a clue. Where was she all of this time? Were the vegetation-beings responsible for her disappearance? Or did they find her somewhere? I miss Eleven, by the way. He would have fallen in love with the forest at first sight.

this episode had its moments and of course, peter and jenna were amazing as always, but i hated that easy cop out resolution, plus danny and even clara were both annoying sometimes. still liked the idea though (i mean trees taking over is a cool concept. i just wish they executed it better)

Do you think it's a coincidence that the POV of that screen's footage is similar to how the Doctor's TARDIS' external conditions screen usually displays data of and around a target planet.

This is probs the worst story ever made

I'm actually one of the weirdos who doesn't mind this episode - it isn't good at all, but I do like when Capaldi gets to do some comedy moments. The message that the episode is giving out with the young girl is weird, too. But man, being sandwiched between the coming episode and the amazing Flatline really makes it so much worse.

I hated this when it came out, but really like it now and for quite a while it was a go-to episode for whenever I wanted a 12 episode. (Before the next few series came out) But I still don't like the tacked on ending. 😏
