Admittedly the first time I watched this episode I thought it was terrible but on the re-watch I liked it so much more! Noticing the way it is shot and how meta it is was a delight. I am glad its not a two parter though as it is a good, nice, singular, experimental episode.

This was originally supposed to be a two parter, but budget constraints, plus a shortage of time, turned it into a single episode. Capaldi wasn't a fan of this story, and said, in his mind, the Doctor returned and made everything right. On to the next, dare I say epic, episode.

While this was not my favorite episode there were some elements I did like. The found footage angle was a good idea. I liked the atmosphere created and the nightmare monsters. It did have the creep factor but the story felt unfinished because the Doctor by the end of the video hadn't figured out what he was still missing. He missed the signal. I think you should be put in the writers room. I agree this should have been a two parter. I put this episode in the same category as Kill The Moon. It could have been so much better than it was. Would have been nice if at the end we found out the one behind it all was the Dream Lord. That would have made the twist at the end even better. I can't wait for you to see the next few episodes.

Probably the only episode I don't like in season 9, but I appreciate what they were trying to do. However we in the endgame now lads

When S9 aired it had all time low viewing rates as they started to gradually decline after 10 left. At the time this was my least fav season but watching all the eps again in order has made me appreciate this season a little more.

Sorry Mark Gatiss, but this episode was trash. It would have worked out much better if it was a two parter with a properly developed story.
