This episode left me pissed at Naomi for a while. Spreading that protomolecule around for whatever reason was a colossally stupid decision. You can notice in this episode that Amos primary loyalty has switched from Naomi to Holden. Amos is the kind of guy who knows he's a little fucked up inside, but he still wants to be a decent guy, he just doesn't really know how. While he'll always be grateful to Naomi for everything she did for him over the years, there have been a couple instances where he questioned either her motives or loyalties, and is now at the point of realizing that Holden is not just someone he can depend on, but also someone who can set a better example of how to be a good man. Like he said there are 3 kind of people. Bad ones, ones you follow, and ones you protect. Naomi will always be someone he protects, but Holden is the one he follows now.
