Solid solid episode. The most Doctor Whoey out of all 2 seasons IMO. Definitely up there when it comes to historical figures episodes.

I would have like more about tesla and his inventions and less aliens. I dunno maybe my issue with these new seasons is the threats just seem meh doing alien of the week kinda thing a lot and too many companions so we just see them standing around a lot and then the alien motivations are just meh and it all just seems kinda half assed. Like I think orphan55 would have been better if from the start they landed at a terraforming station. they knew it was earth and messed up and you had the dreg attacking and the doctors trying to help resolve the situation and it was more like hey this is their planet now you had your chance and you fucked it up you cant just ruin this new species home like not only make us think about how we are messing up the planet but which impacts every living thing here but then how after the fact we cant just go trying to reverse the process which essentially would be doing the same thing to the new species

I agree. While i enjoyed the episode, I always expected more from the companions. Every. Single. Episode. But they still haven't won me over. Honest to God I tried to like them. But they are so dulllll. Sure, Graham is fun to watch at times, but the funny cool gramp act is getting a bit too old tbh. Like you said, there is still no spark and fire we've seen with the past companions. But reaaaally looooved the doctor and tesla's bond and chemistry in this one! This is why i think it would be interesting to watch a victorian or someone from the past as the next companion!

This was a much better episode than the last one which was awful. Loved the interactions with 13 and Nikola. Overall, it was a nice historical episode. Good atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing you react to the next one. Nearly caught up now.

About the companions: I saw an interesting proposal that 13 just shouldn't have companions - just adventures with temporary companions from that period. For example here with Tesla

This was a decent historical and I think works best if you know about Tesla as I have a few friends that dig it more. For me the best thing about this episode is that it's one episode away from episode 5!!!

I'm torn with this one. It wasn't a bad episode and had elements I liked, but overall I just got bored with it and even skipped to the end of your reaction after about 40mins. Was just missing something to make it spark or come alive more. The companions don't help. Again, they're okay, but just lacking something. For me, anyway.
