If you want a show which takes a combination of Inbetweeners style humour and Simon Pegg style humour then Friday Night Dinner is for you. If you find Inbetweeners humour slightly over-the-top then Friday Night Dinner might be more your thing because it's slightly more subtle.

2020-05-05 22:49:47 +0000 UTCI wouldn't mind if you did more but I'd understand if you choose not to. This is about as close to a school experience I've personally seen a tv show do. Albeit a very highly exaggerated depiction for comic effect. Well at least one I can recognise. Shows have got much better at more realistic casting in the last 10 years. The amount of American shows I've seen snippets of over the years where all the kids look like they are in their mid 20's and have been taken right out of a fashion magazine. These guys were in their 20's at the time I think, but I think you can believe they are younger. Possibly it's the stupid things they say and do that helps you buy into that premise. lol

2020-05-05 07:15:20 +0000 UTCDunno what all the fuss on the discord was about this, literally anything could have been better, Misfits, Red Dwarf, hell even the first few awful seasons of trailer park boys were at least tolerable though barely. IMO TPB didnt become good till netflix took over

Honestly, I was pretty happy to see you reacted to this (well-done Discord hashtaggers XD) and would be totally up for seeing more of this if you enjoyed it and have the time, hopefully, I'm not alone there! It's actually a surprisingly realistic portrayal of some British schools (though of course it's exaggerated). The show itself is relatively short but there's some really great stuff in it, especially if you like cringe and/or roasting comedy!
