ABILITIES

Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If August Summerisle fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. August Summerisle has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Diabrand’s Wrath. Enemies who end their turn within 5ft. of August must make a DC18 Dexterity saving throw or take 4 Fire damage.

Blade of Summer (2/day). When making an attack roll with Advantage, August may reroll one of the dice once. 

Actions. 

Multiattack. August Summerisle makes 2 attacks with Diabrand

Diabrand. Melee Weapon Attack: +12 to hit, reach 5ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d8+7) Slashing and 9 (2d8) Fire damage. On a hit, one additional enemy within 5ft of the target takes 13 (2d8+4) Fire damage. 

Queen’s Hand (4/day). As an action, August can touch a creature to restore 20 hit points and end one of the following conditions: Blinded, Charmed, Defeaned, Frighted, Poisoned, Paralyzed, or Stunned. Additionally, this touch cures the creature of any disease affecting it.

Spellcasting. August Summerisle casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (Spell Save DC17).

At Will. Prestidigitation, Minor Illusion, Charm Person, Witch Bolt 

1/Day Each. Aid, Sickening Radiance, Desiccating Drought

Bonus Actions. 

Explosive Smite (Recharge 5-6). As a Bonus Action, August can empower his next successful melee attack with explosive living flames. On a hit, flames erupt from the blade dealing an additional 22 (5d8) Fire damage to the target and all enemy creatures within 15ft., as green and gold explosions ring out around them. 

Reactions. 

Electrifying Escape (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). In response to taking damage, August may use his reaction to transform into living lightning and teleport, along with any equipment he is wearing or carrying, up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space he can see. All enemies in a 5ft radius of where August started and ended his teleport must make a DC18 Constitution saving throw or be Paralyzed until the end of August’s next turn. 

Summer’s Inspiration (4/day). When an enemy is reduced to 0 hit points, August may use his reaction to grant all allies within 30ft. 17 (2d8+4) temporary hit points. 

Notes - Augustine Reynard Summerisle, or simply “August” to his friends and lovers, is the knight of the Summer Court, High Queen Titania’s mortal agent in the prime material plane, and the man who deals with any of her orders on the Prime Material Plane.

Raised in the lap of luxury by his father, Julius Summerisle, at their familial estate in the Summer Isles, August wanted for very little in his youth. Except for one thing. Adventure. While the cushy life of a nobleman suited him just fine, he was raised on the tales of his father’s youthful adventures as an adventurer in the Prime Material plane. The way his father’s eyes would light up as he spoke of them was enough to instill a strong drive for the young man to seek his own fortune and glory.

This drive for glory is how he found himself in the service of High Queen Titania, Lady of the Summer Court, seeking her previous champion, Tam Lin to serve as his squire and protege, eventually earning the title of Summer Knight for his efforts. (Though, it’s still very easy to convince August to shirk his duties for a time if whatever you’re doing is fun enough.)
