The temperature of the air around you drops significantly, creating a 25-foot emanation of tiny sparkling ice crystals swirling around you.
When you cast this spell, you can designate creatures to be unaffected by it. Whenever the Emanation enters a creature’s space and whenever a creature enters the Emanation or ends its turn there, it must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 3d8 Cold damage and gains one point of Exhaustion. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and does not gain Exhaustion.
If a creature fails its Constitution Saving Throw by 5 or more the creature begins to freeze and becomes Paralyzed until they are no longer within the Emanation or take Fire damage.
Exhaustion gained by the effect of this spell recovers at a rate of 1 point per ten minutes or 1 point per round spent near a sufficient source of heat.
Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The Radius of the Emanation increases by 5-feet for each spell slot above level 4.
