Today's staff reward includes the work-in-progress thumbnail sketches I've been working on.
Currently, there are a total of 6 confirmed scenes for the animation.

S#1 - Narration explaining the Pied Piper Man musical plot
S#2 - Eugene's high school musical club presentation scene
S#3 - Scene where senior members help with the Pied Piper Man performance
S#4 - Practice room scene
S#5 - Actor's waiting room scene
S#6 - Stage~musical song scene

Last time, I shared the thumbnails for S#1, but I keep changing my mind about which parts to show in the musical, so I'm working on it again.
As for S#6, it's a crucial scene in the work, so I'm working on it step by step, albeit roughly, in collaboration with the composer.

Honestly, I've been thinking a lot about how much character information to share while planning the entire scene. In a way, I was worried that showing information that was already explained in the webtoon might make it feel a bit tedious. However, for people who will meet Eugene and Wendy for the first time through this work, I decided to include more of the existing content.
Instead, I plan to add new fun through the storytelling and direction!
I'll keep striving until I can show you well-polished artwork!

안녕하세요 동료 파이퍼즈 여러분!
오늘의 스테프 리워드는 작업중인 썸네일 스케치 중간과정을 가지고 와 보았어요.
현재 확정된 애니메이션의 장면 갯수는 총 6개에요.

S#1 피리부는 사나이 뮤지컬 줄거리 설명 나레이션
S#2 고등학생때의 유진의 뮤지컬 동아리 발표장면
S#3 선배들의 피리부는 사나이 공연 정리를 돕는 장면

S#5 배우대기실 장면
S#6 무대~뮤지컬 노래 장면

지난번에는 S#1 부분의 썸네일을 공유드렸지만, 뮤지컬에서 전달할 부분을 고르는게 자꾸 바뀌어서, 다시 작업을 하고 있어요.
그리고 S#6의 경우, 작품의 핵심장면인 만큼 작곡가 분과 함께 러프하지만 차근차근 발전시켜나가고 있구요.

사실은 장면전체를 구상하면서 캐릭터들의 정보를 얼마나 공유드리는게 좋을까 고민을 많이 했어요. 어떤의미에서는 웹툰의 정보를 다시한번 보여드리게 되는것이 자칫 지루하게 느껴지지 않을까 걱정했거든요. 하지만 이 작품을 통해 처음으로 유진과 웬디를 마주하는 분들을 위해서 조금은 많은 기존의 내용을 함께 담게 되었습니다.
그 대신, 스토리의 완급조절과 연출을 통해서 새로운 재미를 추가하도록 노력할 예정이에요!
