Status update - February!

Hey everyone! Time for another status update.

This month is going really well. I've been totally consumed in my work, and I can hardly believe there's less than 2 hours left of January already. Time has absolutely flown so far!

Try, Try Again is going well. Well, sort of. Marl and I have thrown away dozens of pages of drafts for everything beyond Part 5B. We know what we want to do, but we want to do it really well. Part 5A and 5B are the standard I want to meet, and we're both working our buns off to do it. (Part 5B is something I'm so excited for I can barely even function when I start thinking about it. I've read the script for it probably over 20 times by now. I love it. I just love it.)

"here goes nothing" is also coming along well. It's a kind of weird thing, but it's very fun. I get kind of... bored? when I do a bunch of visual novel panels that don't have interesting comic panel dynamics, so working with a bunch of really cool perspectives and angles and compositions has been my goal for these pages. I have some really cool stuff coming up for the next like, 8-9 pages. There's more beyond that too, but it's a lot of improv work that changes according to what I need.

Also, some news about the Itchy Itchy Kickstarter -- well, that's precisely it. I'm splitting it up from Broken Toy to give the stories more room to breathe, and to give Marl and I more of a chance to polish each one like it deserves. I don't want to rush this. Itchy Itchy is going to be like 98% redrawn, and we're going to be spending like 5+ months redoing the arc and adding a bunch of stuff, so I absolutely don't want to feel like I'm supposed to be doing it quickly and then do a bad job! There's no need to rush.

Aside from that, got the Seeds PDF and concept PDF up in the hive store: http://hivemill.com/collections/floraverse If you guys want em and didn't back the Seeds KS, now's the time to nab em!

Oh yeah, I also finally have a personal site - it's just the barebones as of this post being written, but it's going to serve as a place for blogging and writing articles and tutorials and stuff in the future, as well as being a hub for portfolio stuff in one nice place. http://glitchedpuppet.com !!! Cool! I'm pretty excited to actually like, type words that people will read. I've wanted a single place to stick tutorials and the like - art advice, inspiration posts, stuff like that. I've not had that! Tumblr and dA are both terrible for that, and Twitter isn't exactly a blogging platform.

Anyway, that's about that. Thanks for the support, everyone! SUPER excited about this year still! Hope everyone's year has been kind to you so far!
