Inspiration Blog: Sexual Proclivities

While I do have characters 4 fully female characters I sometimes ponder my own celebration of shemales within my artwork and question if it is merely sexual indulgence or an artistic crutch. Ironically if I only drew male-men and female-women I wouldn't be considering this topic at all, but as my own worst critic I'm sometimes too close to my own artwork to see how others perceive it.

TL;DR Why all the dickgirls, Zevti?

There's a rather infamous discussion about why so many hetero-type men  will enjoy pornography where the women have penises, and theres been lots of new theory in regards to why this happens. From this new body of research there are some things I agree with and others that I don't, but speaking personally, my penchant for giving everyone a dick has less to do with, "I'M GAY FOR BIG DICK!" and more "I understand dicks because I have one."

Because lets own up to the facts people, "OwO, notices your bulge" is paramount to furry porn, because so many things can be said depending on how the penis is presented. And just like how we are hard wired to read the expressions on faces, we also wired to give attention to genitals whenever they are in view.

But I can't deny that not every artist puts as much thought into these things as I might. You'll get a lot of dicks placed into pictures, "Just because" sometimes, and I question if I've done a good enough job characterizing my characters to bring contrast to each one's approach to sexuality, because they're all rather different.

Just follow me for a second.

Ariana and the Frogs represent Existentialism, where the individual is responsible giving meaning to their existence. They are usually shlubby, slobby,  basement dwelling, dregs, who bloat with the beauty found in their own swampiness. Because if you're happy as a frog, why be a prince?

Vouge represents Absurdism whereby any attempt to find meaning in the universe is pointless because no such meaning exists. So does he rape? Why does he molest? Why does he absorb people into his butt, and who made him this way? Well... the truth is it doesn't matter.

Fru Fru represents Cynicism. The lack of belief in selfless or sincere qualities, such as altruism, honesty, or virtue. And instead believing that people are only driven by self interest. So yeah, they're a bitter smumfuck, and so are you! So fork over the cash and lets get this shit over with.

Jordan represents Hedonism. They hold that pleasure is the ultimate goal, the greatest good, and the central aim for all decisions made. The not-so-secret secret to their science is that Jordan isn't uncovering any truths, shi's just minimizing pain and maximizing pleasure.

Derick represents Stoicism. The principal that emotional and physical self control will lead to inner fortitude and a happier life. THE JOKE being that because he's subordinate to Jordan, Hir Hedonism is always being thrust upon him (or into him). He's content with being a regular everyday normal guy, but circumstances won't allow him that.

:V and so if it ever seems like I'm cycling through these characters a lot, know that many times it will be because I'm thinking about these themes.

And of course my other characters also represent things but I'll save that for another time.
