Whether just humble caretakers tending the graves, or mourners in formal attire, there's a bit of variety to be had (and some mourning dresses are quite lovely). As for this piece, I like the contrast in form between the two subjects in the foreground, and quite enjoy the expression on Inocencia in the back. Also appreciating the somber colors, and the sense of depth in the background. As the details of the wall, gate, and building in the back give way to the hazy sky beyond, it makes for a wonderfully vast, open feeling. Takes me back to some wistful memories on similar looking days when I was younger.
