Well, we ended the first arc of the second season with incredible lessons, our Sakura developing her feelings more and more and opening up, and you remember when I said that Sakura's life was and has been very difficult... yeah, did you notice a little? As Ashley said, Sakura was bullied a lot, both by strangers and by her own family.The emotional support from Furin's people was crucial to him, and I think each of them helped him in different ways. Now, the importance of someone's emotional support is the main point here, and along with that, we must always keep in mind that each person is unique and has their own time and process. As I said, I'm a psychologist, so when I first watched this anime, I couldn't help but think, "How would I help him?" (and this question is similar to the one JLee asked below)... and again, remember how I said Sakura felt so alone that the image he had of himself was crouched in the dark with hoods? That was his level of exclusion, so his defense mechanism was to accept what others did as truth for himself (i.e., that HE was the bad one) and distance himself from everyone, thinking that this was the right thing to do. But in doing so, he began to ignore the good people who appeared and also his true feelings: not wanting to be rejected.That's why Kaji tells he, "Actually, you're afraid of being rejected." So, when JLee asks what advice I would give Sakura, I would be "very direct and objective" in my words, simply because Sakura has a defense mechanism, hiding what she really feels. Finally, in my personal life and as a psychologist, I always carry with me a phrase: "Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but when touching a human soul, be just another human soul." Finally, you already know, right? If I don't give you a hint or two, it's not me... so... 👀 you'll finally meet our Tsubaki, and I have to tell you, although we always see Umemya together with Hiragi (the guy with the shark tooth), the second most important person to Ume after Kotoha is Tsubaki, not Hiragi. Yes, Ume and Tsubaki were friends long before everything. And just to give you a taste of the manga, these were Ume's words to Tsubaki after they met (and don't worry, it's not a big spoiler): "If anyone tries to hurt you again or tries to take away the things you love again, talk to me. Or maybe not? I want to know how is it that he knows what the right thing to say or do is in almost every situation, I get more curious with every interaction we see from him.
