Blog: Back in business
Added 2020-06-19 07:08:42 +0000 UTCIt took about a full week, but I finally got my new hard drive up and running with all my old files... well, most of my old files, I should say. I'm actually missing the project file for one of the Yearbook drawings, but since it was already finished I suppose it doesn't matter too much.
Right after that, I got back to drawing, which was surprisingly easy. Usually I have a lot of trouble restarting a routine, but I knocked out the sketch for this Darkness drawing in no time flat. Inking was a bit more difficult, but that's normal--I don't really enjoy inking because it's a rather finicky process. It would probably be easier if I had a better tablet, so I might start saving up for one.
The scenario for this picture is going to be something like Darkness getting captured by some type of kinky potion brewer... I had originally sketched out a box shape just to help with perspective, but then I figured Darkness would probably really enjoy some water tank peril. The tank is empty right now, but that might change very soon...
As part of the scenario, I drew a background with all these different liquid containers. What do you think's in them?
