Blog: Rosa's new setting + Hayley sketch

In this week's blog, I'm going to introduce the new setting Rosa Raines will be walking around in. This is gonna be pretty text-heavy, so bear with me ^.^
FANTOPIA is an autonomous commune located somewhere in the US. Its inhabitants have decorated its various neighbourhoods to look like various fictional and historical settings so they can live in them permanently--essentially, it's a very elaborate 24/7 LARP.
Though Rosa Raines isn't much of a geek herself, she starts living in Fantopia because there is practically no interference from the government or outside law enforcement, which suits her just fine. She starts working as a private detective working out of Copper Creek, the steampunk-themed neighbourhood of Fantopia.
Other areas include but are not limited to: a Victorian-style neighbourhood, a Wild West-themed neighbourhood (both of whom are constantly at odds because they both want to lay claim to Copper Creek), a cyberpunk neighbourhood styled like a futuristic city, an Arabian Nights-styled area and numerous others. Fantopia is always evolving as people's tastes change and the people in charge decide what is and isn't appropriate for whatever setting they maintain.
Because of the incredible variety of aesthetics throughout Fantopia, Rosa frequently finds herself traveling to different places with different rules and different trouble to get in. One day she might find herself tied to train tracks, and the next she might be bound and gagged in a skintight astronaut suit. The possibilities are endless!
Of course, Rosa won't be going at it alone--she'll make numerous friends. One of them is Hayley, who I've sketched above. She appeared in the old fics and a few drawings from a long time ago, but I've redesigned her a bit. Hayley is a bartender, but also secretly a vigilante. Like any good bartender, she'll keep your secrets--unless you're confessing to a crime she'll have to prevent.
