Blog: Upcoming stuff + Mai set fix

Hiya!

With commissions now open, I have a lot more different work to do, so I should lay everything out to make it clear (to myself as much as to you, heheh.)

The "Monthly Damsel" is just whatever pic gets a variant set in a given month. This month, that's going to be the FF7 girls commission I've been working on. It is now finished and will be released later today.

I don't plan to make a habit of drawing variants for commissions, never mind selling them, but this was a special project I had a personal interest in. Next month's Monthly Damsel will be the Ryuko and Mako pic.

The monthly poll is usually about the Monthly Damsel, but lately that hasn't always been the case. I like the freedom of being able to ask about different projects, but it does make things a little confusing, so I'm officially separating the two things now.

The result of this month's poll was that I should draw more simple OC pics. What exactly that means is that I'm going to draw some of Rosa Raines' friends on simple backgrounds, tied and untied--a bit like the "Return of Rosa Raines" pics. I may or may not do variants for these depending on how inspired I feel, and I probably won't make any of them count as "Monthly Damsels". Maybe I could initially release them as Patreon exclusives and then make a big pack out of it later? What do you guys think?

Now for a few things I messed up. First off, I just found out while setting things up for the new set that the ZIP file for the Mai set was not accessible. A few people pressed the "Request access" button on the Google Drive page, but that sends an email to an address I don't check, so I had no idea about this until now. It's fixed now. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Secondly, I was re-checking the results for the "Damsel Yearbook rework" poll from September and found that somehow one vote didn't get counted in my spreadsheet. Chie Satonaka actually tied with Deedlit, so I'm going to finish her along with this month's requests. I would like to do finish at least one Yearbook entry from that poll every month until I've done them all.

Finally, it seems there is some kind of glitch with Patreon where sometimes a patron leaves but it doesn't give me a notification and doesn't free up a slot in the tier they left. There should be a Yearbook slot open at this point, but there isn't. I'm currently trying to get a fix for this from Patreon support, so hopefully one more lucky person can sign up soon!
