Blog: The written word + Poll results

First of all, let's take a look at the results of this month's poll. The winner is Hololive's Kiryuu Coco! I don't really know how I'm going to tie her up yet, though... it's hard to get good emotions out of someone whose occupation is shitposting :o
With that out of the way, let's talk about a certain Patreon reward. My fiancé Another0079 usually writes a fic to go with every Monthly Damsel pic, but as you may have noticed, we've fallen behind a little. He has a Bulma fic finished, but I wanted to edit it a little and simply haven't gotten around to it (I am a terrible editor). As for Ryuko and Mako, Nothles felt intimidated by the prospect of having to write in the frantic, over-the-top style of Kill la Kill.
This made me think about whether we're doing the right thing here. Nothles was the one who offered to write these fics to add a bit more meat to my Patreon rewards, but the Monthly Damsel isn't always something he's confident about writing, and having to coordinate our schedules to put out something of good quality is difficult on top of everything else on our plates.
Of course, if you guys like the fics a lot, that motivates us more to find a good place for them in our routine. So let us know in the comments--do you read the fics? Do you like them? Are they part of why you joined the Patreon? We'd love to know.

I do read the fiction pieces, & I like them. They may be a bit extensive, so I second Rabbs comment on that.

2021-04-11 04:39:21 +0000 UTCAs a returning Patreon while I didn't come specifically for the fics, I really like them and are a nice addition to the drawings. However I feel that too much is being written for each one, especially if things are busy for both of you already. So perhaps shortening the fics into more like a vignette, keeping it at a max of 3 or 4 paragraphs to save you both time and effort, to get the best of both worlds.
