The intense summer heat in Japan has finally started to ease.๐
To enjoy the brief autumn season, autumn-inspired meals are a must. In Japan, one of the foods that symbolizes autumn is the sweet potato. ๐
Many restaurants offer roasted sweet potatoes or desserts made with sweet potato-flavored sauces. These are often limited-time autumn specials, so I find myself ordering a lot at once.
Itโs said that Japanese people are particularly drawn to โlimited-time offers.โ Perhaps this is because, historically, Japanese culture has been highly sensitive to the changing seasons, whether itโs enjoying the cherry blossoms in spring or the autumn foliage in the mountains.
