Lol that line "she means everything to me" is just the dub fucking up. He actually says in sub "someone dear to me" basically saying an important person like one of the other sins 😂

Yeah this show does have bad writing every now and then but like you already know now there is more to Meliodas' feelings toward Elizabeth that will be explained at a future time. They will flesh out the characters more and more as the show progresses.

Also I would say that the cringe does go away for the most part. I didn't even pay attention to the cringe my first few times watching this but going back at it there is a good amount lol. I think Elizabeth's voice actor is a BIG part of it. Her voice just sounds so stupid but sub makes it somewhat better. The dub voice is just annoying.

Broo, if its something more to it than you just spoiled it for us lmao. But no I don't think it was obvious at all. It was confusing more than anything. It would of been a better hint if we got at least a 5 second flashback or something. If there is more to it than, that scene was meant to foreshadow something, not directly hint at it or tell us.

Why would you assume something like Meliodas barely knows her. Cause it clearly gives away when he says she is everything to him that there is a lot more to it than you know. Is it bad writing or simply not understanding????

this is one of my favorite episodes and this is why ban is my favorite character lmaoo.

Elizabeth is the worst. I really dislike her. But you do learn a lot more about her. And at the very least various character interactions make more sense. I won't say anything more than that. But thankfully, you'll get to meet a ton of new characters who don't suck. And every single character has a pretty dope and well made backstory. I've seen every episode and read the manga, Elizabeth sucks. But honestly, I think it's her voice actor more than anything else. Her voice is just infinitely annoying. Out of curiosity, while you're right Meliodas was a perv to her, he's never been a perv to literally anyone else. And I don't think he ever even remotely acted as though he doesn't care about her. He has put himself in danger to save her or do anything she wants pretty much the entire time, right? Also, if you want an insanely dope story, watch The Promised Neverland. Its story is a 10/10.
