This Past Week
This past week was busy! There was a WEBINAR with the fellow Morris Award Finalists' I went to a high school to talk about Check Please, I spent hours chipping away at thumbnails, and I even went to the dentist! GEEZ! JAM PACKED.
The Morris Award Finalists webinar was well attended and super-informative? I'll be in Seattle next weekend where I'll finally meet these fine folks!
The very next day I went to St. Stephen's high school in Austin to participate in the school's biannual literary festival. (A) That school was fancy has all get out, (B) what an extraordinary event?? I wonder how different my life would have been if I had met a professional animator or comic book artist in high school?
OKAY BUT COMICS
:^) All I've been doing is thumb-nailing. :^) Writing. The most challenging part of comic making.
This comic's gonna get a #SometimesTheyDoHockey tag. As Bitty angrily stares at a hockey puck with enormous eyes.
- guess what I totally rewrote a comic chapter. This comic was originally supposed to be a video interview with Bitty, but it felt so...boring. Even for an exposition comic??? I got a few pages completely penciled before deciding to scrap.
Bitty looks so nervous to be interviewed??? Also this page isn't dynamic?? GOOD BYE, ART!
- I also gave feedback on the next Check Please cover. (After having an hour-long meeting with my editor!) I wish....I could just show everyone this cover right now.

Seattle! Enjoy our fair city. Maybe drop off concept art for a logo/mascot for the expansion team. IG has had a lot of suggestions posted from fans/illustrators. Without a team name even announced, they run the gammut.
