I sent a message to my sister telling her that Bitty got a Landey Special. I think right before the season was put on hold this year Avs Cap Landeskog got a stick in the mouth and it knocked out a tooth. (Landey's beautiful smile!!) I did not tell her that Bitty also pulled a TJ Oshie by dumping a player onto the bench. (Granted, Oshie tends to dump them on their own bench and doesn't go with them.) All that aside, I loved this. I loved seeing Bitty get up and knock the stuffing out of that guy (even if he did it to himself, too.) He has come a long way.

ok now that i've read this 400 times i have a question: was that a legal check? like did bitty get a penalty for it? was it interference, boarding, what have you? did bitty get bold and just decide to say "fuck hockey"?

OK I cheered aloud with Bitty's retaliatory shoulder check. HELL YES BITTY! Also an effed up mouth is how we can tell he's serious about his sport. Attaboy.

i agree with everything everyone's said, but what's especially caught my attention are the effects you're creating in the various panels. The five image per panel action sequences, where my eye is moving across them as if I was viewing a film...until you switch to full view to make a point. Panel 8, where the opposing football player is looming over Bitty, and we're seeing it from Bitty's POV, with the sun reflecting off the helmet so that Bitty really can't see his opponent's face. That one REALLY affected me! Bitty skating so fast in Panel 12 that his uniform shirt stretches out and gives that sense of speed as Bitty races between players. Panel 13 when Bitty checks the opposing player so hard, flying into the air at such a speed that we can trace it from the lines you've drawn. Your story telling skills have always captivated me, but now I'm really getting drawn (pun intended!) into the final chapters of the story thanks to your skills as an artist. We all know how awesome and talented you are. But I just feel like we're witnessing your best work in these remaining updates. Thanks for sharing the love!

Ahhh, I'm so relieved he got up! The heartbreaking flashback, the Bitty shaped blur, the Bitty CHECK, the tooth!! I love that the first thing he wants to know is if they scored. Jack isn't the only one who is hockey-brained sometimes... But mostly I'm so relieved he got up!

1) I LOVE BABY BITTY 2) That's how I expected the football tackle to happen but I did NOT expect the slur. That makes so much sense. 3) H was #15 in football awe. And 4) Jack wearing Bitty's Jersey YES!!
